Kestrel has been a lifelong student of the mysteries, from Zen Buddhism and Native American Vision Quests during the 1970s, guided meditation and Yoga in the 1980s, Wicca, Reiki, Qi Qung and Liberal Catholic Seminary & Priesthood in the 1990s, through participating in ritual at the Sekhmet Goddess Temple of Cactus Springs, Nevada and becoming an Elder of Desert Moon Circle in Las Vegas in the present day.

He is member of the Fire Tribe and Vegas Vortex, a fully Consecrated Catholic Bishop with 38 lines of Apostolic Succession. Also a moderator of an online group affiliated with Dion Fortune’s Society of the Inner Light, where for a time he was also a supervised student.
